1 watercolour / aquarelle.Language of material:EnglishScope and content:Series consists of sketches for various publications; scenes of pioneer activities in Canada; legends and myths; logging and fishing; two portraits of Ells; and two greeting cards, n.d., 1935, 1969. Many of these were drawn by S.C. Ells for his book "Northland Trails" (published 1938 and 1956).
Series also includes works by other artists:
Two portraits of S.C. Ells, including one by Wilfrid Flood in 1935.
One watercolour of a sailor from the Pembroke by Lyndwode "Harry" Swynfen Pereira.
Two photomechanical reproductions of drawings by Dutch graphic artist Louis Raemaekers, who produced anti-German cartoons during the First World War. Images entitled: "Slow Asphyxiation" and "The Zeppelin Triumph". These reproductions were acquired from Mr. Ells at an unknown date.
