Description:

This dramatized documentary is about a young girl who finds herself all alone when she leaves Reformatory. Her attempts to return to a life of prostitution fail. Her contacts with a social worker at the Elizabeth Fry Society lead her to a new life working in a business office. Despite bouts of loneliness, doubt, and a run-in with her past, she does not abandon her hopes for building a better future. Exceptional shot of the Andrew Mercer Ontario Reformatory for Females (medium shot, front shot); and of a police officer verbally harassing a young lady at a street corner while on patrol. <30mn>
