Item #36 is a pencil drawing on birch bark, stored within an envelope and crush-proof box as it is very susceptible to further cracking and delamination from the slightest pressure or movement. Exposure to conditions of extreme relative humidity should be avoided to minimize movement and curling. Its condition and recommended treatment report is filed within the acquisition documentation file. Item #42 has fold tears and needs repair. Item #52 has been mounted on heavier paper for support.

There are five (5) copies of map #56 ([Grand Manitoulin Island, Ontario]); there are three (3) copies of map #58 (Map showing the distribution of the Huronian Rocks between Rivers Batchehwahnung and Mississagui); and, there are two (2) copies of map #61 (Map shewing [sic] the distribution of the Phosphate of Lime Rocks & the position the most important Mines in Ottawa County, Province of Quebec).
