This sub-series consists of occasional correspondence, briefing packages, minutes of meetings, agendas, reports, information sheets, communiques, notes and the like on Whelan's travel activity during his second tenure of the post of minister of agriculture.

The travel was, of course, incurred in the pursuit of agricultural development in Canada, as Whelan travelled to events (official and political), made visits, and went on trips abroad, in search of markets for Canadian goods. Of course, there was no small amount of polittiking with these trips.

A good number of the reports in this bloc consist of reports written by Whelan, accounting for and justifying his trips to places such as Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Greece and Rome (Italy). Generally, the sub-series demonstrates the development of government trade policy, search for markets and outreach on behalf of Canadian farmers.
