Anishinaabeg Chief Oshawana of Walpole Island (Bkejwanong) was one of the delegates of the Grand General Council of 1858.Provenance:Additional name(s):Biography/Administrative history:McClurg, George Mills, 1857-1913 : McClurg acted as a lawyer, general secretary and treasurer for the United Bands of the Chippewa and Mississauga. He collected and organized the Dr. Oronhyatekha Historical Collection at the Independent Order of Foresters Headquarters. The collection was gifted to the Royal Ontario Museum in 1911 after the death of Oronhyatekha.Additional information:General note:B.J.
