BACK IN '22 was released in 1932. It is a nostalgic look at some major news events of 1922. Personalities such as Lord and Lady Byng, Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, Lieutenant-Governor Cogship, and the president of the Canadian National Railways, Sir Henry Thornton are featured. Also a look at the fashions of 1922, plus a report on a fire that occurred in Northern Ontario and wiped out 17 towns. The first annual Kiwanis convention held in Toronto is featured as is Queen's University Rugby team and members of the 1922 Dominion Championship,. Also a film clip made in 1922 called THE MAN FROM GLENGARRY is shown. It is an incoherent story of a girl who leaves her upper class family to live in Ra Ra, Ontario, with her boyfriend, a lumberjack. Eventually, she returns to her parents. BACK IN '23 is very similar to BACK IN '22. Released in 1933, the film consists of news stories from the film library of Associated Screen News. Famous celebrities such as Rudolph Valentino and his bride, Baron Renfrew, Lord and Lady Baden Powell, David Lloyd George, and Mr. and Mrs. George, McManus are also featured. A fashion show with Paris designer clothing is featured as are two of contests: The Miss Canada Contest, held in Montreal and The Canada's Loveliest Child Contest. Profiles are given of the winners as they appear ten years later.
