Kent Rowley (the first secretary-treasurer of the CCU), and Madeleine Parent of the Canadian Textile and Chemical Union (CTCU). The series includes: speeches, articles, book reviews, and other writings by Rowley; tributes on his death in 1978 (including a Milton Acorn poem); writings about Rowley, Parent, and the CCU, including Rick Salutin's biography of Rowley, "The Organizer"; CCU history; the early history of two affiliates (the Pulp and Paper and Workers of Canada and the Canadian Association of Smelter and Allied Workers); and Jack Greenall and the "Canadian Unionist" periodical.
Records include typescript and printed articles and other writings, biographical information, poetry and song lyrics, speaker's notes, newsletters and other print matter, correspondence, a plaque, and other material.
