Sub-series consists of unnumbered files from the Minister's office. Monthly reports of various branches of the OMFC, including the Adjutant General Branch, Engineering Services, Quartermaster General's Branch, General Staff, Chaplain Services, Assistant Military Secretary's Branch, Canadian Railway Troops, Canadian Army Pay Corps, Director of Timber Operations, Estates and Legal Services Branch, Director of Contracts and Gymnastic Staff are found in volumes 53-55. These reports are from the period 1917 to 1919.
Volume 55 also contains correspondence and drafts of a pamphlet entitled "Our Boys Overseas" and a summary of intelligence relating to affairs in European Russia. Files relating to details of routine work and accounting of all branches, Overseas Base Pay Office and a court of enquiry relating to the Canadian Army Service Corps (CASC) held in July 1918 are found in volume 56.
Volume 104 contains files relating to the following subjects: the 5th Division and reinforcements, generally; reports regarding Brigadier-General W. St. P. Hughes; Chaplain Services (See also RG9-III-C-15); telegrams regarding the appointment of Brigadier-General E.C. Ashton as Adjutant General at Militia Headquarters; memorandum and diagram indicating the organization, responsibilities and functions of the Canadian Record Office, 1917; a report on demobilization by Lieutenant-Colonel W. Bovey, July 1919; a summary of the procedure and operations of the Chief Purchasing Officer's Department, OMFC, 1918; the final report of the Director of Contracts, 1920; and lists of appointments and promotions in the field, 1918-1919, submitted to the Overseas Minister for approval.
Volume 105 contains the following files: a history of the development of organization and procedure of the Pay Department, OMFC; minutes of the Overseas Purchasing Committee, 1919; the fourth interim report of the Overseas Committee on Demobilization; the first and second interim reports of the Reconstruction Committee; a War Office scheme of demobilization; an appendix to Army Order dealing with record of occupations in civil life; a Local Advisory Committee report from the Employment Department of the Ministry of Labour; and a letter from Sir Edward Kemp to Sir Robert Borden regarding demobilization, 22 February 1918.
Volume 106 contains the following files: reports, statements, press cuttings, etc. regarding camp disturbances at Witley, Epsom, Kinmel Park, Ripon and Rhyl; records relating to the Irish Canadian Rangers' visit to Ireland; and cables, etc. regarding the Siberian Force.
Volume 107 contains files relating to the following subjects: the appointment of A.W. Currie as Corps Commander; promotions of Currie and Sir Richard Turner; report of the Overseas Military Council; minutes of the Sub-Militia Council; honours and awards; the Military Service Act, 1917; the Soldiers' Election Act; cable file, from 1 August 1919; information regarding the Overseas Military Forces of Canada; Lieutenant Colonel H.F. McLeod and finances of the 12th Reserve Battalion, March 1917; White pass and embarkation permit for Deputy Minister; and memoranda, orders, etc. affecting Headquarters Staff.
