There is a sketchbook dated 1958 containing drawings of a voyage to the Arctic on board the D'Iberville; another sketchbook is dated 1966 and contains manuscript notes on the Société de Saint-Jean Baptiste from various published sources and technical notes on various processes such as murals, acrylics, colour charts and colour mixing; lists of finished and planned paintings; estimated prices for materials; and recipes for mural and other types of paintings; numerous sketches of figures, landscapes, cityscapes, processions, and early 19th century male costumes. There is also a sketchbook dating from ca. 1958-1960s containing sketches of figures, portraits, hockey players and urban landscapes; and a binder containing eleven typewritten pages of a diary of them1958 Arctic voyage, followed by sketches dating from the 1950s to the 1960s. Finally, the fonds contains loose drawings done by Philip Surrey dated from 1930 to the 1980s, including some preparatory drawings for oil paintings.Source:Private -
