74 photographs : col. slides.Language of material:EnglishScope and content:Fonds consists of films shot in Northern Quebec, northern Ontario and parts of Nunavut, by Dr. McKone while doing a medical survey of Cree and Inuit for tuberculosis symptoms. Photographic material consists of slides taken by Dr. McKone in 1955 when he was medical doctor to Inuit and Cree in northern Quebec, northern Ontario and parts of Nunavut, surveying tuberculosis patients. Depictions include: Inuit at Inukjuak (Port Harrison); David E of Inukjuak; Inuit at Cape Smith, Puvirnituq (Povungnituk), Kuujjuaq (Fort Chimo), Ivujivik, Salluit (Sugluk); Father Mascerat; the evacuation of Inuit tuberculosis patients on RCMP and Coast Guard vessel; and tuberculosis patients at Moose Factory Hospital;Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:McKone, Barclay : Barclay McKone was a medical doctor to the Inuit and Cree in northern Quebec, northern Ontario and parts of Nunavut, and an amateur photographer.
