The series consists largely of informal portraits of composers, conductors, directors, teachers, and performers, often in rehearsal or performance. The series begins with extensive documentation of daily operations and events associated with the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto. Series also includes photographs of Teresa Stratas, Glenn Gould, Jon Vickers, Maureen Forrester, Andrew Davis, Mario Bernardi, Anton Kuerti, Angela Hewitt, Louis Applebaum, Lofti Mansouri, Jukka Pekka Saraste, Ben Heppner, Liona Boyd, Edith Weins, and the Orford String Quartet. Quartet.
Built through Curtin's own initiative and contributions to Music Magazine, this project led to a nation wide exhibition, The Musicians, which premiered at the National Arts Centre in November 1985 and the 1994 publication, Curtin call : a photographer's candid view of 25 years of music in Canada.Additional name(s):Source:PrivateOther accession no.:1981-262 DAP
