The accession is a direct transfer from the Ottawa Federal Records Centre which contains several complexities. There are some files in the boxes which were not on the original DIAND file list. There are other files which are on the original DIAND file list but are not in the boxes and no charge-out slip exists for them. There are other files which are on the original DIAND file list, not in boxes, but have a charge-out slips. Lastly, there are some charge-out slips which have no corresponding file on the original DIAND file list. As per the Box Conversion List, DIAND Boxes 1-2 remain NA Boxes 1-2 (however, Box 2 contained nothing but charge-out slips and has been deactivated, its charge-out slips moved to box 1). DIAND Boxes 3-6 and 16 were not transferred to the National Archives; accordingly, DIAND Boxes 7-15 are now NA Boxes 3-11 (however, according to the original DIAND file list, the last file from DIAND Box 6 is the first file in DIAND Box 7 / NA Box 3, and NA Box 8 contained nothing but charge-out slips and has been deactivated, its charge-out slips moved to box 1). Lastly, the remaining DIAND Boxes 17-46 roughly correspond to NA Boxes 12-41, but this is not an exact box-to-box correspondence.
