Sub-series consists of records retained by the Department of External Affairs for use in the conduct of Canada's foreign affairs. These briefings prepared by the Foreign Office, pertain to the political conditions in various countries during the Second World War. They were provided to the Dominion Prime Ministers. The papers, numbered 19 to 416, were distributed weekly. The first 19 papers were not sent to Canada pending the decision whether or not such material should be sent to the Dominions.
