Coltman and John Fletcher in the course of their investigation of the affairs of Lord Selkirk's colony and the Red River disturbances, 1815-1818. These records were segregated as a series with a number of documents generated by the efforts to resolve various questions arising out of the events at Red River. Many of the documents bear file numbers indicating their sequence of presentation as submissions to the Executive Council. Reintegration of these documents with those remaining in the "S Series" (RG 4, A 1) and reconstruction of the original order is planned.Additional information:General note:RG4 B46 has been integrated into RG4 A1 in volumes 620 and 621.Related material:Copies of selected documents and of the several reports by Judge Coltman were enclosed with the Governor's despatches to London (See Colonial Office 42; available on microfilm).
