Scope and content:

Series consists of rosters of locomotives and rolling stock, correspondence, reports, specifications for railway equipment, train orders, notes on corporate history, clippings, share certificates and other material relating to Canadian railways and street railways. Among the railways represented are the Grand Trunk, Great Western, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, Intercolonial and Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa and Occidental. Two handwritten stories about CP locomotives; white and blueprints of Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway locomotives as well as boiler inspection cards 1917-1940. Locomotive rosters for many Canadian railways; biographical files on the general managers of the Grand Trunk Railway; material on the [Ontario] Hydro-Electric Commission Railway and on the Reid Newfoundland Co./Newfoundland Railway. Mounted images and diagrams of various Canadian and American locomotives and traced maps of railway networks.
