Fonds consists chiefly of estate papers such as mortgages, deeds, leases and wills, as well as marriage certificates, membership cards and bonds relating to the Scott and Hurlbert families of Augusta Township, Grenville County. Included are marriage certificate and land deeds for Thomas and Agnes (Hurlbert) Campbell of Ottawa, 1868-1906; land deeds and a financial report for the Harris, Campbell and Boyden Furniture Company of Ottawa Limited, 1902-1906; an unidentified merchant's account book, 1829-1833.
The fonds also consists of photographs by a variety of commercial photographers including: a horse-drawn sleigh, Bolton Street, Ottawa, Ont.; suspension bridge, Chaudière Falls, Ottawa, Ont.; "Waiting for the Empress", Rideau Canal, Ont.; portraits of members of the Scott, Campbell, Hurlbert, Anderson and Low families and friends, Ottawa, Morrisburg, Prescott, Alexandra Bay, Ogdensburg (N.Y.), Montreal and Quebec City.
In addition, the fonds contains trade cards for Harris & Campbell Art Furniture Warerooms, Ottawa (2); Bryson, Graham & Co., Ottawa; Brown, Edmondson & Co.; and Nixon Bros. Manufacturing Co., Ingersoll, Ontario; as well as a brochure cover for David Maxwell & Sons Farm Implements, St. Mary's Ontario.
