Fonds consists of narratives and notes based partly on interviews with Doukhobors and partly on translations of Russian material relating to Doukhobor life in Russia, their plans for emigration, their arrival in Canada in 1899 and the career of Peter Veregin, 1858-1924. Also included is a published list of Autumn 1940 books by Farrar & Rinehart Inc., with the notice for Slave Bohu annotated by J.F.C. Wright.

Wright, James Frederic, 1904-1969 : James F. Wright, a journalist with the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix, became interested in the Doukhobors in 1932 when organizing for the Saskatchewan Farmer-Labor Party. His research on the subject culminated in his book Slava Bohu (1940).
