CBC Radio broadcasts consisting primarily of current events actualities such as speeches by Canadian, British and American politicians, activities of the British Royal Family in Britain and Canada, some sports events, including tennis, football, golf and horse racing; opening ceremonies for various radio stations, the Ivy Lea Bridge, the Canadian National Railway line between Val d'Or and Rouyn, the Blue Water International Bridge, actualities related to the Second World War such as speeches by Hitler, coverage of the Nuremberg trials, reports on the Dieppe raid, postwar peace talks, Remembrance Day ceremonies, programs about the United Nations, and some Christmas programs. Among the speakers represented are: Winston Churchill; William Lyon Mackenzie King; Clement Attlee; Neville Chamberlain; Charles DeGaulle; Anthony Eden; Dwight D. Eisenhower; Vincent Massey; Lester B. Pearson; Franklin D. Roosevelt; Graham Spry; Louis St. Laurent; Harry Truman; and various members of royalty, primarily of the British and Dutch royal families. There are also some British Broadcasting Corporation broadcasts, such as news and actualities of events taking place in Britain., Ottawa collection consists of recordings of events generally taking place in Ottawa and probably originating from CBC Radio Station CBO.
