Most of the photographs are of buildings, residences, and monuments, rather than of individuals or views. Subjects include: Intercolonial Railway shops at Moncton; the wrecked south span of the Quebec Bridge; Saint John harbour; some factories, fishing, and rural scenes. Photos by John Woodruff., From the arrangement of the sequence of the photographs in the album, John Woodruff was on a trip from Algonquin Park to the Atlantic provinces via Montreal, Quebec City to Bathurst, then through New Brunswick to Saint John, then back along the coast to Nova Scotia.., The date field was revised on the basis of the photographs of the wrecked Quebec Bridge, which collapsed 29 Aug. 1907.
