The prints in this album document Canadian army activities and operations in North West Europe from August 17, 1944 - August 27, 1944. The album documents army activities around Hautmesnil, Brettville, Falaise, Sallenelles, St. Lambert sur Dives, Vimoutiers, Bayeaux, the advance on the Seine, Elboeuf, Bernay, and the occupation of Paris. Also documented in the album are; Provost Corps at work, mine at Saint Quentin, cemetery at May-Sur-Orne, Caen Civil Affairs, Belgium Brigade, Essex Scottish Regiment celebrating "Dieppe Day", and the Argyll and Sutherland Regiment. Included as well in the album are children's party and visit of Anthony Eden at First Canadian Division HQ, funeral for French Forces of the Interior at Chartres, visit of Prince Bernard, and liberation celebrations and the reception of General de Gaulle.
