Records of the Industry Sector Branches [textual record]

Accession consists of records created by the Industry Sector Branches (ISBs) of the Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce (ITC). Reporting consecutively to the ADM for Operations, the ADM for Industry Development, and the ADM for Industry and Commerce Development, each branch was responsible for research and analysis, providing guidance to the Canadian business community, and administering many ITC assistance programs within their respective field.

This accession consists of records from the Textiles and Consumer Products Branch, the Resource Industries and Construction Branch, and the Wood Products Branch. Subjects include a report on the apparel and textiles industry, the Energy Conservation Task Force, the New Brunswick Study Steering Committee, and inquiries from Parliament.
