This sub-sub-series consists of a selection of photographs chosen by the official photographers that relate to activities or events attended by Stephen Harper as Prime Minister of Canada for the month of May 2015.
It includes photographs of Stephen Harper's trip to Baghdad, Iraq, where he meets with Haider al-Abadi, Prime Minister of Iraq, and to Erbil, Iraq, where he meets with Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and with Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (May 1-2). In addition, he travels to Kuwait City, Kuwait, where he meets with Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait (May 3).
The sub-sub-series also shows Stephen Harper and Laureen Harper's trip to the Netherlands, to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands, and to Belgium, to mark the 100th anniversary of the writing of "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae (May 2-6). The photographs illustrate Laureen Harper delivering remarks at an event at the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, Belgium (May 3) attending and giving remarks during a ceremony at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery (May 3), Netherlands, and meeting with Princess Margriet of the Netherlands (May 4). Stephen Harper is also seen attending several ceremonies and meeting with Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands (May 4-5).
It also shows Stephen Harper's meetings with Benigno Aquino III, President of the Philippines (May 8), the Aga Khan (May 26), and King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands (May 27) in Ottawa, as well as with the Premier of Nova Scotia, Stephen McNeil, in Halifax (May 14).
