Sub-sub-series consists of records collected by the Directorate of History, Department of National Defence, or its predecessors, and maintained under the 280 and 290 divisions of the Kardex file classification sheme: "History of the Army Formations Overseas - Brigades - Other" and "History of the Army Formations Overseas - Miscellaneous." A majority of records were acquired from establishments/units of the armed forces, and original file number references can sometimes be found on listings, and on the records themselves.
