Accession consists of aboriginal and non-aboriginal precedential civil litigation records created and/or maintained by the B.C. Region of the Department of Justice.

The aboriginal precedential civil litigation records relate to the St. Mary's Indian Band, Chippewa's of Kettle and Stoney Creek, Coquitlam Indian Reserve No. 2, Band Councils and Indian Bands, and the Bridge River Indian Reserve. Issues include presumption of death, the Indian Act, authority for Indian bands to collect rentals, and the obstruction of fisheries officers by band members. The precedential civil litigation property records concern the control of public land, the Veterans Land Act, the Federal Real Property Act, and the form of surrender.
