General Note:

Accession consists of central registry files created by various administrative and operational areas of the Department of Communications (DOC).

Subjects include: national telecommunications (box 30); personnel and administration (boxes 19-20 and 34); telecommunications operations (box 20); federal-provincial relations (boxes 26-29).

Most files are from the department's 1969 central registry, but some (boxes 19-20; and 26-30) have been brought forward to the 1982 functional system.
