Registry files of the Department of Trade and Commerce [textual record]

Accession consists of administrative and operational from created by various areas of the former Department of Trade and Commerce (DTC). The records include those from DTC's 1961 and 1966 registries, and a unique registry from the tourism/travel area.

Subjects include, but are not limited to the European Free Trade Area, wheat, grain, and flour markets, tariffs and Canadian Trade Missions to France, tourism trade promotion, and trade fairs. Many of these records have been processed to permanent in RG20 volumes 2202-2207, and 3058-3073.

Accession also includes records from the Canadian Government Office of Tourism and its predecessor, the Canadian Government Travel. The records deal with the White Paper on Tourism, advertising, the 1976 Summer Olympics, the Country Programming Integration Foreign Services, and various conferences.
