This map depicts part of the parishes of St. Andrews and St. Clements, to the northeast of the present-day city of Winnipeg. It shows lot numbers and acreage on East side of the Red River. Selkirk Station Ground and the Pembina Branch of the Canadian Pacific Railway also appear. As is typical of Métis settlements, the land of these parishes was originally divided into long and narrow river lots. The "outer two miles" of river lots were used for hay and pasture and were highly contested between the Métis and later settlers. This map shows the development of settler municipalities and farmlands, with their square lot system, around and over the pre-existing Métis river lot system.

This map shows the Canadian Pacific Railway line through the northern part of St. Clement. It also shows part of the original St. Peters Indian Reserve, an early reserve of Peguis First Nation, a Cree and Saulteaux First Nation.

St. Andrews, also known as Lower Church, was the largest of the three early Anglican parishes of Red River Settlement. It was founded in 1829. The Anglican parish of St. Clements was founded just to the north of St. Andrews and of Lower Fort Garry in 1861.
