This sub-sub-series concerns the domestic travel of the Prime Minister and Madame Aline Chrétien. Though these trips require less logistical preparation than international travel, the files document the work involved in their planning.
Prime Minister Chrétien travelled frequently within Canada, for a wide range of reasons. These included: meetings with constituents and participation in riding events; Liberal Party of Canada activities (conventions, national caucuses, funding activities, etc.); representation activities (fundraising dinners, inaugurations, Saint-Jean Baptiste, etc.); international meetings held in Canada (Commonwealth Games, G-7 Summit, Francophone Summit, etc.); Quebec referendum-related activities; and commemorative activities.
This sub-sub-series contains correspondence, briefing books, mission logs, timetables, itineraries and handwritten notes.
