1,933 lithograph prints and photomechanical reproductions from the Andrew Merrilees collection contained in 8 scrapbooks and 2 miscellaneous collections, consisting primarily of trade cards but also including message cards, personality cards, labels, advertisements, greeting cards and posters which document North American social history, all dated ca. 1800-1970.

Note on the state of conservation:

The backs of the trade cards within the eight scrapbooks cannot be viewed as they are pasted to the pages. Most of the cards from one scrapbook have been conserved using a hinge mount to make the verso accessible; these can be found in the portfolio with barcode 2000786520:

Items 318 - 504 (except for 329, 331, 339, 383, 387, 395, 418, 451, 465, see below) as well as 1127, 1692, 1705, 1711, 1712, 1713, 1715, 1717, 1719, 1720, 1721, 1737, 1741, 1746, 1760

Loose trade cards can be found in the portfolio with the barcode 2000786314:
