This correspondence was created over a period of nearly five years, during which Jean Chrétien held the following positions: Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs (from July 6, 1968, to August 7, 1974); President of the Treasury Board (from August 8, 1974, to September 13, 1976); and Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce (from September 14, 1976, to September 15, 1977). The sub-series thus illustrates the concerns of Mauricie constituents, and the actions taken by their M.P. when he became Minister.
