General Note:

In the north, fur traders followed by missionaries. St. Peter's Mission housed the residential school for the Anglican Diocese of Mackenzie River at Hay River., Without access to heavy draft animals, the 7.8 acres were ploughed by dogs and uniformed school workers for vegetable crops, mostly potatoes used to feed, the school residents and staff, Described by the RECON project.
