artistic material A collection of eleven (11) bilingual and/or unilingual English or French language posters, acquired and preserved by Tanya Mars, while Editor of the publication "Parallelogramme", from 1977-1993. The posters publicize various conferences or events sponsored by or connected to the activities of the "Association Of National Non-Profit Artist's Centres / Regroupement D'Artistes Des Centres Alternatifs" (A.N.N.P.A.C./R.A.C.A.), in Canada, and some of their regional affiliate organizations. Events/themes represented in the collection include the following: [ANNPAC & affiliate conference / lecture series posters]; "Artists Talk About Technology" - National Conference held at King's College, Halifax, N.S., 6-7 June 1984 (2 examples); "Strategies For Survival" - International Conference held in Vancouver, B.C., 9-11 June 1986 (2 examples); "Measure" - National Conference held in Winnipeg, Man., 10-12 June 1988 (1 example); "Points De Forces: Les Centres D'Artistes" - Regional Conference held in Montréal, Québec, 14-17 October 1992 (1 example); "Artist/Writers/Talks" - Series of six lectures held in Vancouver, B.C., during the period 30 January - 3 May 19__ (1 example). - [ANNPAC & affiliate commemorative posters]; "Artist' Day", 17 January 1990, commemorating "Two Decades of Artist's Collectives" (2 examples); "Artist' Day", 17 January 1992, commemorating "Artists' Must Be Seen And Heard" (1 example); "St./Michael's/Printshop/1972-1992", commemorating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of this art printing facility, in Newfoundland (1 example).
