Series consists of documentation on Barbara Chilcott's career in theatre, beginning with family theatricals at St. Elmo in Muskoka (also found in the Davis Family Records series) and drama studies in Canada with Josephine Barrington, then in the United States with Tamara Daykarhanova. There are programmes and clippings documenting Chilcott's work in theatre in England, including material on the Meet the Navy Show and the script of The Glass Cage, along with extensive reviews. There is a scrapbook documenting her work with the Canadian Repertory Theatre and International Players during the 1950s and programmes and clippings relating to The Crest Theatre. Scripts of Harold and Maude, Memoir, Brass Rubbings, The Dreamland and The Stone Angel document her work with the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Stephenville Festival in Newfoundland, Neptune Theatre in Halifax, Canadian Stage Company in Toronto, and Blyth Festival in Ontario. Other files document her involvement in a project by Tony Robinow to develop the script The Godsend for film. There are some undated scripts labelled For Mr. Gill, undoubtedly referring to Robert Gill.

There is fairly extensive material on the Crest Theatre Hour Company. Included is programme material used in the schools and documentation on the relationship between the company and the Ontario Department of Education and Actors' Equity. The correspondence includes letters from actors Marilyn Lightstone and Kenneth Welsh.
