This accession consists of a hodgepodge of material received from CN Head Office. Box 1 consists of two accounting ledgers of the P.E.I Railway dating from 1878 to 1886. One shows the expenditures during that time of the Road Department of the railway for various repairs, maintenance and other expenses. The second ledger shows a number of expenditures for various things, and includes as well, a break-down of money spent on several railway stations. Box 2 contains a small number of photos that appear to document the unveiling of a plaque commemorating Donald Gordon's tenure as President and Chairman of CN from 1950 to 1966. There is also one photo album with photographs taken predominately in 1918, entitled "Canadian Government Railways, Halifax Ocean Terminals, Progress Photographs". There is a second album, untitled, with photographs that appear to have been taken in the Maritimes showing a variety of railway related projects c. 1912-1918. Box 3 contains a bound volume of the CNR Magazine for January to December 1933 and "Canadian National Railways Study Course for Operation Trainees", March 1, 1956.
