Included in the sub-series are incoming and copies of outgoing correspondence, résumés, reviews, synopses of plays, scripts, playbills and newspaper clippings. The files consist largely of requests from aspiring playwrights for Kareda's comments on their scripts. Kareda's responses to these appeals document his role as dramaturge at Tarragon, his approach to play development and theatrical production, his taste and his artistic philosophy. In addition to requests from unknown writers, these files also contain letters from well-known figures - such as Carol Shields (Jan. 1984), Gordon Pinsent (Jan. 1986), Atom Egoyan (July 1986), Robin Fulford (July & Oct. 1986, Dec. 1987), John Murrel (1985-1993), Wayson Choy (July 1987) and Guy Vanderhaeghe (May & June 1991, Jan. 1992).

Also included is a series of files containing correspondence and submitted scripts to the Tarragon's "Six Playwright Unit".
