The sub-series includes correspondence, notes, memoranda, actors' résumés, audition schedules and related information, newspaper clippings, reviews, scripts and notebooks. The documentation relates to the production of plays at the Tarragon Theatre from the 1982/83 season, Kareda's first as artistic manager, to his final season. Included are files on the production of Judith Thompson's White Biting Dog, The Crackwalker and Lion in the Streets; John Krizanc's Prague; Joan MacLeod's Amigo's Blue Guitar; Ken Garnhum's Beuys Buoys Boys; Margaret Atwood's Good Bones; and Kristen Thompson's I, Claudia. The production files contain correspondence with the playwrights involved, and with the directors and some of the actors, particularly Clare Coulter and Martha Henry. In some cases, as for example with writers Rachel Wyatt (Geometry; and Chairs and Tables) and John Murrell (October), the files document a close friendship.
