The series contains photographs and artwork which documents the Sub-Arctic Expedition undertaken by Charles Eugène Bedaux, June-October 1934. The collection documents pre-expedition publicity in France, the training session and rodeo at Jasper, Alta., their stay in Edmonton, Alta. and the stages of their journey through Alberta and across northern British Columbia. Series includes portraits of C.E. Bedaux, his wife Fern Lombard Bedaux, Bilonha Chiesa, Charles Balourdet, Floyd Crosby and other expedition members. There are also photographs of Bedaux's trip to the Cassiar Distric, B.C., August-September, 1932. Photos are by Floyd Crosby, Frank Swannell, and Jack Bocock. Watercolours include those entitled: "The gulch of Squaw Creek...", "Looking down the valley of the Muskwa River...", "Mountains at the Head of the Prophet River...@, 1935 by \Ernest C.W. Lamarque related to the Bedaux Expedition.
