Portrait miniatures include Queen Victoria, King George IV, Mary Queen of Scots, Cecil Rhodes and a number of unidentified 17th, 18th and 19th century individuals.Finding aid:Additional information:Custodial history:The collection originally called the Lord Strathcona Medallic Collection was given to the Medal Collection of the Archives Museum in May, 1959 from which 9 miniatures and 2 photographic items were transferred to the Picture Division in May 1959. The accession number 1959-1 was originally assigned as a Medal accession number, but has been adapted for the Picture Division holdings as a whole in 1996.
