The fonds consists of personal papers relating to the participation of Archie Bennett and his wife Sophie in the Canadian Jewish Congress, the World Jewish Congress, the Canadian Zionist movement and the United Jewish Welfare Fund of Toronto during the 1940's and 1950's and drafts of most of the articles he wrote for his column which appeared in the Jewish Standard, 1933-1966.
The newspaper collection of Archie Bennett consisting of the "Jewish Times", the "Canadian Jewish Review", the "Jewish Standard" and the "Canadian Jewish Chronicle" were transferred to the National Library of Canada.
