This accession consists of operational records created and/or maintained by the Calgary Office, as well as separate groups of records created and/or maintained by the Jasper and Yoho National Parks respectively.
The Calgary office files relate to the general administration of land and water resources and survey rights in the National Parks it administers, such as Banff, Elk Island, Jasper, Kootenay, Revelstoke, Yoho, etc..
Additionally, the records created specifically by Jasper National Park relate mostly, but not exclusively, to buildings, bridges, rivers, flooding and search and rescue; those created specifically by the Yoho National Park largely pertain to federal-provincial park conferences, roads, bridge and water resources., Since 2010, archival records are held at the Regional Service Centre in Winnipeg.
