Fonds also contains a bound copy of a text, with 2 pages of photographic illustrations, for a proposed book on methods of portrait photography entitled, "Portraits and the Posed Portrait Tradition" by Marcel Ray, [ca. 1986].Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Ray, Marcel : The Toronto photographer, Marcel Ray, began his career in commercial art but soon moved to photography, specializing in portraiture. He was also a cellist, playing with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and on the CBC and many of his portraits were of leading Canadian musical and artistic personalities.
