This accession contains Grand Trunk Railway System/Grand Trunk Pacific Railway System asset valuation documents in ledger format, that were compiled as at January 1, 1920 by J.B. Berry and T.H. Curtis, Consulting Engineers. Ledger 25 includes a general description of the appraisal work undertaken and a blueprint plan of the sections of the rail lines that were evaluated. (See also accession 1997-98/454 for other ledgers in this sub-set)., Also includes are printed copies of various Grand Trunk Railway Company of Canada directors' and annual shareholders' meetings, related statements of financial accounts issued during the period 1854-1863 and capital expenditure information for the Montreal Terminal Development (1939-1950)., Box 2 contains some copies of railway operating timetables for Canadian Northern Railway lines West and East of Kamsack and Swan River (1905-1908), various districts and areas within Canadian National Railways Great Lakes, Western, Prairie and Atlantic Regions (1925-1977) and the Grand Trunk Western Railroad (1967)., Mechanical Department records (Box 3) include listings of American built locomotives transferred to Canada (1921-1928), rolling stock in the Newfoundland District (1949), diesel locomotive distribution summaries and master numbering plan (1950s-60s), and leased locomotive reports (1937-early 1960s)., Other miscellaneous materials include Brotherhood Railway Carmen of America memorabilia (ca. 1900), histories of the Oshawa Railway (1932-1956) and The Canada Atlantic Railway Company and some research notes/correspondence compiled by railway historian/author G.R.
