Series consist of records relating to the recruitment and management of the guides and hostesses, and to the planning and execution of National Day and Special Day celebrations. There were 62 National Days and 32 Special Days celebrated in the Place des Nations with 22 Heads of State and 14 Heads of Government. In addition, official visits were paid to Expo'67 by the Governors of the states of Maine, New York, and Vermont and by the ten Premiers of the provinces of Canada. Five of the fifteen cities participating at Expo'67 staged major Special Days. The records consist of files compiled in preparation for the observance of National Days and Special Days and consist of confirmations of participation by Heads of States and VIPs, lists of necessary equipment, entertainment schedules, background on the arrival of Heads of States and VIPs, security arrangements, and the itinerary for the National Day or Special Day observances.

Canadian Corporation for the 1967 World Exhibition. Visitor's Services Branch : The Visitors Services Branch was responsible for the planning, implementation and co-ordination of admission sales the recruiting, training and managing of hostesses and guides; the special services for the handicapped, disabled and aged visitors; protocol for official ceremonies; planning, programming, and implementing V.I.P. visits and group visits; and a liaison with LOGEXPO, a non-profit organization established to administer a central lodging bureau for Expo'67 visitors. The Visitors Services Branch functioned as part of the Department of Operations which began with the appointment of its Director in November 1963. The Director was responsible for running Expo'67 from April 28 to October 29, 1967. By 1967, the structure of the Department of Operations consisted of the following branches: Public Safety, Concessions and Licensing, Visitors Services, Entertainment (World Festival), Business Development Bureau, Operations Staff Services, and La Ronde.
