Certificates and beneficiary registers of Provident Fund - Canadian Government Railways [textual record]

The records in this accession consist of three Canadian Government Railways Membership Certificate and Beneficiary Registers. Each register is organized numerically by members' provident fund numbers (1-2000 and 17150-17499; 50000-54999; 70000-89999) and includes tombstone information such as certificate number, name, station, occupation, department, reasons for removal from the roll and beneficiary name, relationship and address., Also included is a Grand Trunk 'System' Pension Department Register of Pensioners. The register is divided into sub-sections by GT System-affiliated rail lines, express and telegraph companies, the International Bridge, St. Clair Tunnel, Montreal Stock Yards and the National Terminal of Canada. Each of the pages in the register contains members pension file numbers, names, home addresses, pension rates per month and amounts paid to each retiree during the calendar year 1936.
