This database consists of the BRU backup set for Database No. 1 (G0001554). The Telidon demonstration database comprises a number of collections of data of various sorts largely used to demonstrate the workings of TELIDON rather than for the substantive value of the data per set. The great bulk of the data are readily available in other media. The various data sets include general information on government organization and programmes as well as contemporary data on jobs available, the current weather forecast, and a variety of basic statistical information about the country and its economy.

General Note:

The videotex pages have headers defining the tree structure in which they are organized., CONSERVATION NOTE: This database was copied to archival backup tapes with some technical difficulties. Perhaps the software creating the donor tapes did not place a double tape mark after the last physical file. However, the bulk of the database was successfully copied. Internal VOL SER of BACKUP on donor tape.
