Admiralty 80, one of 22 classes of Greenwich Hospital papers is comprised of 171 volumes of miscellaneous documents covering the years 1639 to 1919. The National Archives of Canada has copied selections from Adm 80 relating to Newfoundland 1749-1824. These include vols. 121 and 122, books of orders and proclamations issued by the Governors of Newfoundland, 1749-1811, and copies of the letterbooks for the Secretary to the Governors of Newfoundland, 1813-1824, Vice Admiral Sir Charles Hamilton, Vice Admiral Sir Richard Godwin Keats and Vice Admiral Sir Francis Pickmore, vols. 123 to 130, and vols. 151 and 153. Also included is the naval order book and journal of proceedings of Vice Admiral Sir Charles Hamilton, 1818-1824, vols. 160-163. This material is located on microfilm reels B-2317 to B-2319.
