Fonds consists of a diary of Private F.G.W. Floyd of "B" Company, 2nd Special Service Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment, during service in the South African. Transcript, 21 pages.
- Biography/Administrative history:
Floyd, F.G.W., 1878-1900 : Soldier Private F.G.W. Floyd, a militiaman of the 7th Fusiliers of London, Ont., volunteered for service in "B" Company recruited from the London military district. He was killed in action at the Zand River, Orange Free State and was awarded post humously the Queen's South Africa Campaign Medal with bars for Cape Colony, Paardeberg and Drie Fontein.
