Although local clubs to promote the interests of business and professional women had been in existence for a number of years, it was not until 1929 that serious discussions about federation took place. The CFBPW promotes the interests of business and professional women by encouraging a spirit of co-operation among them and extending educational opportunities to them. The organization is a member of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, and is affiliated with the National Council of Women of Canada.Finding aid:Additional information:Subject heading:Source:Private
