Included subjects are the successes of this Summit, the importance given to democracy and the promotion of free trade trough the rule of law, the economic importance of the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), the need for a technological and educational revolution in many poorer countries of the Americas, the difficulties of smaller states in the face of globalization, the impression given by this summit regarding the violent demonstrations and police reaction, the fast track negotiation requested by Bush to conclude a free trade agreement with Chile, U.S. cooperation with Co
lombia to fight the drug producers and smugglers, the U.S. efforts for bilateral free trade, and praise for President Flores Perez of El Salvador, who is young and energetic. <55mn>
