The story of Frank Taylor, a Canadian wheat farmer, who is foced to work for another man, Ed Marsh, to pay for the loss of his own crop. When Marsh's sister, Nora, arrives from England she treats him like a hired hand and generally exhibits distaste for her crude surroundings. But when she is forced to offer herself as Frank's wife, her dislike turns to secret respect. Frank promises to send her back to England if his crop is successful. But, though a storm ravages the crop, the couple overcome their difficulties and are happily united.
